Coaching Process
My approach is that of a personal mentor and confidant. I have a unique way of building trust and rapport while also holding clients accountable to their personal behaviors and the needs of the organization. The method is two-fold as work begins by establishing clear goals for their personal development as well as appropriate boundaries in the organization where the client’s privacy and confidentiality are protected. This ensures a sense of client safety and honesty where they can be truly open up and maximize the value of the coaching relationship. Confidentiality is balanced by continuous feedback with key stakeholders in the organization (i.e., the client’s direct manager or skip-level manager) who I will meet with periodically to garner additional input, feedback, and accountability that will ensure the coaching process is aligned with the needs and expectations of the organization. Within this two-fold methodology, I also serve as a liason between the client and their organizational managers to exchange mutual feedback about the growth of the leader.
Qualifications
My methodology is grounded in my doctoral degree in clinical psychology (PsyD) from Antioch University New England and my professional coaching training from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). My interventions employ traditional coaching modalities as well as evidence-based principles of human behavior, psychotherapy, and contemporary neuroscience. I have signficant experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds both in an coaching capacity as well as a psychotherapist. My significant knowledge and expertise in human psychology and behavioral sciences and my years of clinical and coaching experience are what set me apart from many of the other coaches in the field.
Curriculum
My program is always “boutique” and tailored to the specific needs of the organization and the client’s individual goals for personal and professional success. The agenda is co-created in the initial consultations with organizational stakeholders and the first several coaching sessions with the client. This specificity makes for a highly individualized approach that simulateneously aligns the individual needs of the client to the organization’s goals. It further allows for continuous feedback from the client’s managers to ensure the coaching process is aligned with the evolving needs of the work environment and that all parties are benefitting from the coaching.
Energy Leadership Program
For those looking for a more structured learning approach, I utilize a methology called Energy Leadership developed by Bruce Scheider. This methodology contains a proven set of principles, behavioral skills, and management strategies to help the leader grow, excel, and achieve extraordinary results within their organization.
